We are witnessing the nightmare scenario unfold predicted 40 years ago of a multipolar world where the USA withdraws its presence around the world. What will happen is a proliferation of nuclear weapons by countries that once operated large US Military bases. Germany, Japan, and South Korea will soon either announce or covertly develop their own nuclear arsenals because they no longer trust in a US security umbrella.
