I don’t share your view. The Democratic Party might be delighted to rid itself of Bernie, though unfortunately the current Vermont governor is a Republican. I am certainly planning on using anything Mueller provides to challenge my Bernie-loving friends/family.

That’s just it. You might want to get rid of Bernie, but the Party sees him as the future. That’s why they let a 29-year-old bartender who claims to be his protegee dictate the House’s agenda this winter and spring.

Impeachment can only go wrong anyway. If it hurts the Republicans, McConnell will have the ability to simply dismiss the trial at any time by majority vote; if it helps them, McConnell will gladly let the Democrats keep unwinding their intestines on a reel.
