this is what i was getting at yesterday

- yes it’s terrorism; of a sort
- unless there’s a clear message left behind (assuming dead shooter), or motivation is otherwise crystal clear, we’re left guessing as to why
- and if we’re just guessing then the point of causing the carnage and stoking the fear in the innocent public - to effect some sort of change - is lost.
- and if there is no point, or one that cant be discerned, then it’s just meaningless, random chaos perpetrated by anyone who has the wherewithal to buy the weapon

it’s a coward’s way of making some kind of muddled statement about being in charge or control or having power over…something, and done so badly that no one gets what the message even is

it’s a total failure as actual, political terrorism

Not political terrorism at all — just screaming at the world because access to lethal weapons is too easy in this country.
