Buttigeg imo has the opposite problem. He needs more experience but I can hardly blame him after we elected our first President with no elected experience since Ike and no experience with any government.

And there’s the problem about bringing age into a discussion of who should be President.

You have to be at least thirty-five.

In the near future, assuming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continues to be a good representative (or becomes a senator), running at age thirty-five she’ll have over a decade of experience in governance.

Most people who run for Congress don’t start out as young as she did. They kind of take the path I did (sans running for Congress)—starting in a local office, building up to a state office, then Congress. That takes decades.

Someone on the young end is very likely to have little or no government experience, and we can see how that works out with Trump.
