Ugh. This thread posits a truly grotesque hypothetical, and while I don’t like to spread doomerism, I’m putting it here because I desperately want more perspectives on how to fight back against this scenario (and hopefully stop it from happening in the first place - again, you’ll need to click through and read the whole thread):

This is the scenario I suggested some weeks ago here - what if the US media simply chooses to pretend that Trump won, or that the outcome is in doubt simply because Republicans say it is? The major networks have learned that reality is simply what they say it is for many Americans. If they don’t say there’s a pandemic and hundreds of thousands dead, there isn’t. If they say the economy is great, it is. So what happens if they simply say that Democrats didn’t really win an election?

I agree with her outcome - the American people will ultimately agree that Democrats didn’t win, that reality isn’t real.
