Whatever happened to the “burger machines” that were supposed to be installed everywhere once those human workers got too uppity with their demands for a living wage?

Well for one thing they cost $30,000 upfront and they still need a human to operate them (whose training puts those workers much higher up on the pay grade than those lowly minwage peons they are replacing)

and people to maintain and repair them, also a lot higher up on the pay scale
