I’d suggest not allowing investment in ‘esoteric’ instruments unless the person wishing to do so has taken a class and passed a competence exam.

Banks can’t lose that many people for even two months, let alone three years.

And that’s actually serious. Banks operate on models put together by applied math people…and they DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE MODELS.
