Can I just say this though? I never thought too highly of Wikileaks. I took a couple classes on International Relations as an undergrad and my mom is a retired DOD official. I feel I always understood better than most people my age and on the left why countries need to be able to have secrets. Even before Assenge was revealed to be a bit of a creep, I just could never see him as a folk hero who was doing what he was doing for the public good.

Well, I was a bit of a Glenn Greenwald acolyte back in the day so I was inclined to think favorably of them. But my judgment of them, and others, has changed in the past few years. Particularly as it has become clear, or more clear, what, or at least who, they are working on behalf of. Maybe it wasn’t that way when they started. But even if they weren’t originally a Russian-mole like organization, they were still reckless, without any accountability.
