California isn’t all liberal, and it isn’t all crunchy. A whole lot of Trump voters would be killed, displaced, injured from a dam collapse there.

This goes beyond the immediate politics to just being Americans.

But some right wing assholes have to be assholes and think this helps undermine a liberal state - maybe used as leverage to go after illegal aliens or other such stuff.

Like all of a sudden those folks will start going out into the fields and moving a couple tons of food each per 18 hour day for crap wages?
