I see no reason automatic weapons should be in the hands of anyone outside the military. Make them illegal with a one year grace period for buybacks from the government. Make any gun that can be modified with a kit to an automatic weapon illegal. No exceptions. You want to keep one to show off, fill it full of concrete.
