this just means that Trump will feel compelled to resort to even more extreme and drastic measures to prevent losing

We have never known an election like this: one in which the incumbent knows that he will be facing state and federal charges as soon as he loses Presidential immunity.

One in which he is not only backed by a criminal organization, a meddling foreign government but also the full powers of the Executive Branch

And one in which the media have no vested interest in losing a source of round-the-clock entertainment, scandals involving associates and family, outrageous tweets and statements, gaffes, rallies, etc…ratings gold, in favor of a perhaps more competent but not as flashy and newsworthy opponent.
