On the editorial page, you can spout away and push any agenda you wish.
Supposedly, if you are truly editing a newspaper, the hard news should be published, however distasteful you may find it.
Then again, if you’re actually Howell Raines, and this is just your nic…well, let the editorial be the lede, and all the news that fits, you print.

This usually had to do with advertising and editorials. Even so, there is no constitutional requirement for objectivity in presenting hard news either, and nobody’s rights are violated simply because we refuse them the coverage they want.
