Regarding the topic of this thread, it is worth mentioning that it was almost exactly one year ago today that Vander Plaats’s “Family Leader” organization was a sponsor of a rather extremist forum that had as one of its stated goals to nullify America’s secular court system and instill their own version of theocratic rule.

Rule of Lord: The Republican plan to nullify the courts and establish Christian theocracy.

This forum was attended by most of the Republican Party’s primary field for the 2012 Presidential race, and was the forum that had the rather dubious “loyalty oath” that the candidates were encouraged to (and several did) sign.
