I’ve been following the Demand A Plan people and today, President Obama did just that. Submitted a plan.

Oh the RW freakout is so beyond reason. Following today what they were spewing really makes you think— they are NOT thinking. Not with a logical brain. It all comes down to tribalism and now the tribe du jour is I Will Do Anything For a Gun tribe. Fuck logic, fuck calm, reasoned proposals. MY GUN MY GUN. Ha, betcha the biggest blathering fools don’t even own one.

I missed the speech live, but just had the NPR sit in the driveway moment. They played the part of POTUS speech where he mentioned receiving the artwork from the parents of Grace, child murdered by bushfuckingmaster at Sandy Hook, and how it hangs in his Oval Office alcove. How he looks at it and thinks about the children. Well, that affected me emotionally (bawl, sniff) and made it even more horrible that the RW freaks didn’t even HEAR that part of the speech.

Another point: that the Center for Disease Control not being allowed by Congress to investigate gun violence. That teeters on evil. It really does. OK, I’ll temper that with “there is a ridiculously powerful lobby that stops common sense if it somehow in anyway stops their profit and mayhem.” (BTW - DF anywhere?)
