We had a basset-chow mix who would slowly walk down the cucumber rows, inspecting each cuke. She’d reach the end of the row, turn around and sit for a short time, gazing at the vines. Then she’d perk up, move into a lively trot, and gently remove the one perfect cucumber that she had selected during her inspection.

Did she belch afterwards?
