This is the sort of political activism needed to take the NJ and VA governor’s offices next year and the House in 2018.

Gerrymandering works with sliver majorities in each gerrymandered district. A huge turnout in an election will overcome gerrymandering. (Even here with only three House districts they managed to gerrymander. NE3 probably wouldn’t flip, but a high turnout in the other two districts could flip them.)

VA and NJ are this year. And we’d be keeping VA not taking it. I feel good about chances in both states. I don’t know if we take back the House in 2018 or not but I do believe we gain a lot of positive momentum going in 2020 and have a great primary with lots of great candidates and then we resurrect. It’s going to be a tough four years but people seem ready and I know I am.
