I ascribe to the theory that there are a lot of people that stay out of trouble - and I necessarily mean legal, but more like not suffering consequences - because some things are hard to do. Make something like hard drugs legal and easy to get to, and a whole lot more people will have issues, and more importantly issues that will affect a whole lot of other lives.

In fact, it’s much easier for underage people to get drugs than it is to get cigarettes and alcohol. Which suggests a way of dealing with the hard stuff.
