But… I bet it’d take you all of 4 minutes to master any self-checkout station.

Part of me thinks they should offer a discount if you self-check. Like they used to do with gas. If you pumped your own it was .03 or .05 a gallon less.

If I have more than 3 or 4 items or coupons I go to the wait-your-turn line. Otherwise I check-out myself, usually.

Depends on the day, my mood, and how busy the store is.
