The “liberal” media needs to drop this idea of “balance,” needs to accept that sometimes the public has to be sat down and told the truth without presenting “the other side.” If a doctor says that a quarantine is not necessary, that should be it. You should not need to find “the common man” or find another doctor who feeds the public’s stupidity by saying a quarantine should happen if for no other reason than to put people at ease.

But many of UpChuck’s followers don’t pay much attention to non-wingnut media, and many of those that do will refuse to listen if they feel slighted because their views aren’t being presented. You can’t educate someone who does not want to learn without employing coercion.
