This was the thinking of the Bros: “Bernie’s bringing in huge crowds, that’s more important than polling well! All those people will leave the rally, talk up their friends, and spread the word.”

Except it never happened. The rally goers left the rallies thinking their work was done, and those that tried to talk up their friends came off as entitled assholes who thought that anybody who wasn’t “Feeling the Bern” was actively against them.

Nothing we’ve seen so far would seem to indicate that Trumpers are any less deluded.

Rallies are nice but they’re not everything. I’m sure George McGovern had some big ones too.
