I also read the book and remember even less, but my favorite thing about it is Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland (the least wild ride except the People Mover. Somebody actually died on that one, though.)

Growing up in Southern California (and Orange County in particular), a couple of things about those rides:

1. The best part of Mr Toad’s Wild Ride was reaching out and trying to hit the cardboard cutouts and getting a voice over telling you to stop doing that

2. The People Mover was known among locals as the People Maker, so even if someone died on it, it’s more than likely a few people were conceived on it; so the numbers balance out.
