Nope. But you also have to remember, that the individual (Ajit V. Pai) he put in charge of the FCC is also working to kill net neutrality. I wouldn’t put it past him or this administration to attempt to pass some rule prohibiting negative reporting of same.

Prohibiting negative reporting on Donald Trump would be a violation of the I Amendment’s speech and press clauses.

If the FCC was to go there, it would be instant lawsuits against the FCC for violations of Constitutional rights from just about every civil libertarian group (and political party) in the nation.

The logical extension of “you can’t say anything about me” is “your political party can’t say anything about me,” “your Website can’t say anything about me,” “your newspaper can’t say anything about me.”

If such a monstrous regulation was somehow promulgated and upheld, that would be the end of Constitutional rule in the country.
