I’m not at all sanguine, just because he’s a Republican and the GOP is desperate to fill this seat before the election. We may be at a point were the optics don’t matter to them because they know they’re going to lose the House and possibly Senate anyway, so they might as well cement a 5-4 conservative SCOTUS majority.
