So, my taxes are done… and my refund was down significantly. My tax bill was also higher (due mostly to caps on SALT) - I can still itemize, but it wasn’t as much as prior years. So even with the withholding changes and so called tax cuts, I paid more in tax.

I haven’t even started our taxes yet because I know we are going to owe a lot, maybe thousands.
But I really can’t be bothered with that right now because I’m so worried about my little dog. I can not fathom HOW she is still alive when she hasn’t had any real measurable amount of food in more than a week. And gaining weight!

Today’s progress report from the animal hospital is there has been no vomiting since one time on Tuesday night, but she’s still on IV fluids. Today she is much stronger, very alert, and visiting all over the hospital. They are going to try to introduce food/water by mouth to her tomorrow. Food was a no-go for her today, but maybe tomorrow.

Oh, and it appears that she has some early stage Sundowners/dementia. But then she is 17 years old and that’s pretty elderly even for a Jack Russell Terror.
