Sigh. The family is going to have to get its own pathologist to examine the body to determine cause of death. The ME in too many places is tied in with the police department and there to serve whatever the police demand from them.

Oh, I have no doubt that the family’s gonna want their own autopsy and the prosecution will receive a copy of that report. But then it’s dueling witnesses, rather than the clear-cut call that his death was due to the hold.
