The Nebraska Secretary of State Office has released the information for filing for elected office.

The forms will be released in December. A candidate information handbook is now available.

Filing for office opens on January 5, 2022. After long heart-to-heart talks with my wife, she’s decided I really want to do this and she will support me.

As such, I am going to file to run for the Unicameral against my state senator Steve Erdman for District 47. The filing fee is $120.

What I need to do between now and January 5 is figure out things like a campaign Website, sign up for social media accounts (ugh), get with the local newspaper/print shop for signs and such, figure out how to get on Act Blue, &c.

It sounds like I need a campaign manager.
