All this Twitter whining is annoyingly millennial for me. When I was growing up (get off my condo lawn) if you were blocked by one resource, you didn’t whine. Just got together and created your own outlets. Where do you think fanzines, pamphlets, and underground newspapers came from? Go to survivingfanzine(name of fanzine).com and find out what they were doing before the digital age. Not to mention mixtapes and underground cassettes of material that didn’t get onto the mainstream media. We took over old radio stations, created pirate radio, maybe had a UHF channel somewhere. And what’s more, none of this was free like Twitter and Facebook. We had to buy, rent or even steal resources to do this stuff. You folks are so lazy….and cheap.
