Yes. Remember, Hurricane Rita hit this same area in 2005, which wasn’t that long ago. They know that serious damage from tropical storms is possible in any hurricane season. If they fail to prepare and reject those who would try to, their problems are self-inflicted.

You know what’s a good human attribute? Empathy. You should try it.

Some people are too poor to move. Some people have no vehicles and live in small towns without public transportation. Some people will refuse to leave their pets behind and choose to stay.
