I suspect she’s far more progressive than even her previous history would suggest. She’s been a Democratic leader in the House for a good chunk of time and her votes and stated positions probably reflect that at least in part. With the make up of the new House, and Republicans in the driver’s seat in the Senate, I expect some pretty progressive legislation to pass out of the House. Even the few new Representatives who are relatively conservative, have some key areas where they have expressed quite progressive ideals.
