Excellent, Pelosi is publicly reaching out to the Republicans to seek shared values. And they reject even their base values in order to oppose the Democrats. She is showing, to the American public, their true values. And to painting them into a corner.

A good first step towards defining her speakership. Obama was also excellent in this way.
