Even if everything is true, and even if many people screaming fascist don’t understand the meaning of the word, what the Administration is doing on many fronts is fascist.

While they are letting the private sector maintain ownership of the means of production they are increasing their authority to tell the private sector how they must use the means of production.

This is gotten way beyond Republicans and Democrats, Conservatives and Liberals. Obama is building a very powerful machine. Even if he does not use it for nefarious purposes someone will.

And I find it fascinating that, like the Republicans with the Homeland Security Act and the Patriot Act, he is doing so in an apparent absolute conviction that his political opponents will never hold the reins of power, and thus be able to misuse the power he now has.

When HSA and PA were passed, my best bud, the E-5, and I looked at each other, and almost in unison said, “Imagine what President Hillary could do with that.”

There is no such thing as a Divine Right of Rule, for any king, any theocrat, or any political party. The wheel turns, and what goes around, comes around.

That’s why the first rule of political power is “Never seek to create a power you wouldn’t want your opponents to have.” Because, barring coup d’etat, dictatorship, or outright nihilism (in which the government kills people at random just to amuse itself, and destroys things just to avoid boredom), one day, the other side will have that power.

The Republicans were unwise in creating DHS and PA. In trying to create a level of power over the private sector, and society as a whole, at this level, The One is being reckless.

And if he really believes that “his side” will never, ever lose power, he isn’t simply naive’, egotistical, and narcissistic- he is an idiot.

I find myself standing in awe of such apparently blatant stupidity in the Oval Office.

Because up to now, I thought even the Democrats were smarter than that.
