No nurses? That’s crazy. In Georgia, they (primarily the nurses, teachers, and PTSA, I think) have been trying to pass a law requiring a nurse to be available at every school. Considering how many kids get medication for ADD and other things, that seems like a no-brainer.
We always had a nurses office in NY or NJ. Their platform is saying they would require “parental notification” which in my mind would mean for anything and everything if it was codified. So if a kid gets a small cut during recess it would have to be a long drawn out process of notifying the parents.
