I hope they don’t give you any hassle re: ADA. It’s been gutted by conservatives from its inception. Other thing to keep in mind is, HR people are labor law dunces.

Document everything, even if they seem nice and accomodating. They see people with disabilities as liabilities and expendable, but they are wrong…a friend of mine has a noticeable disability and works in a department that enforces ADA compliance for a college. Even beyond HR, they are some of the most condescending, unaccomodating people I’ve ever heard of. Stay strong, DF.

I understand and I’ll listen. So far, my contact with HR has not been difficult, but getting any ADA accommodations squared away will show where things stand. The key may come down to good faith, and I know I’ll act in that. I think they will, but I’ll be ready if they don’t.
