Well that’s fatuous, it’s their desire to maintain ownership property previously purchased and specifically grandfathered in, not what they “can get their mitts on.” The state in this context is straight up lying to it’s citizens, having said register and you’ll be okay, then later pulling the rug out. Pretty much exactly what the NRA warned would happen.
