re: #214 Dark_Falcon

There are some actors who will always be associated with the bad guy. Hugo Weaving will always be associated with Agent Smith, who’s one of the most memorable baddies in recent movie history (and was Red Skull in Cap Am). That’s even though he had a prominent role as Elrond in the LOTR/Hobbit trilogies.

Another one is Christopher Lee, who was a baddie in both the Star Wars prequels and LOTR and who got widespread attention much earlier as Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun.

Great actors both, but who take being the bad guy with glee and abandon. Regal evil. I’d argue that it is their voice and cadence that got them the attention in the first place - and lots of actors say they like playing the bad guy since they can do stuff they couldn’t as the good guy.
