I’ll have to check that out, thanks. Never heard of Carolina Chocolate Drops before either. Thanks. What I love about folk music especially older is how raw it feels. I got the Anthology of American Folk that inspired so much of the 60’s folk revival and it’s just so hauntingly beautiful and eerie also in a way knowing the artists on there are long gone. I’m especially into Celtic folk though. The Dubliners, Chieftains, and groups like that.

I was on a blues kick for a long while and ended up buying a Robert Johnson double album, greatest hits type thing. It has that same raw feel, he was probably singing into a tin can on every track. But I’ve found I really have to be in the mood for the really old stuff. Lately, it’s been a bit more rockabilly, but my tastes in music are rather eclectic, and will jump around a lot.
