The Finns did something that no other country in Eastern Europe could manage: They fought the Soviets to a stand-still twice. And while they ended up ceding land after the Continuation War, they maintained their independence. And this is a small country that relied largely upon whatever weapons it could its hands on, going against a juggernaut that steamrolled its way to Berlin.
