“Lost track” implies there was some effort to know where they went after they were stolen from their parents. I don’t believe there was any such effort.

Those kids were given new names and sent to “foster homes” to be raised by white Christians who believe the Lord says it’s totes OK to steal other people’s kids so they can be brought into the Church Eternal.
