It’s because the loudest outcry on this law has been focused on the fact that it does not have exemptions for rape and incest, not that it is in itself a denial of all women’s civil right to full agency, implying that the whole of it isn’t so much a problem. By putting the bulk of the argument on the lack of exemptions, doesn’t that ultimately weaken the argument by just continuing the slut shaming?
