Now as I understand, the ICE is just acting on standing orders to deport these people, but I do suppose they are going to go about it in most goose-stepping way possible to “send a message” and try to put some Fear of God into those remaining…

They’re going after people who have been ordered to leave by court order, but anyone else they can pick up that fits their definition of needing to be deported will be picked up as well. So, if dad has been ordered to leave, but mom’s status is undetermined, then she can be detained as well.
