Yes, a sheriff’s badge is a 6-pointed star. It’s not an uncommon symbol. However, the shape of the 6 points on a sheriff’s badge is distinctly different from the Star of David.

Well, as a graphic artist I have to say a sheriff’s badge also has the little round ends on the points. A Star of David never has those. So stretch away blockhead Nazis…stretch away.
