Has a large state university ever been shut down before? I know sports programs get things like a multiple year death penalty, but this is at the top of the university, not the athletic department alone.

I doubt they’ll be able to shut down the university (too much collateral damage, if you will), but I would expect wholesale change of leadership at the university.
