I have to admit that I’m amused at the look that must have passed over the Frenchman’s face when he received that line. It must have been similar to the German who received the infamous reply at the Siege of Bastogne, “NUTS!” Something along the lines of, “What the ever-loving FUCK is broken with these Americans?!”

What I love about nuts is the simplicity of it all. I don’t know too much about General McAuliffe outside that line but it made him legendary.
