I’m just tired of hearing you hate freedom if you’re bothered by economic disparity and inequality. That’s a problem. I like Capitalism but it’s not fail safe.

Capitalism and the Free Market are mechanisms. They can be useful in balancing supply and demand and for directing capital to where it does the most benefit for the most people.

But they have been turned into an ideology; a belief that the unfettered Free Market is some Divine State of Perfection that we should strive for, that if only Government stopped interfering, Enlightened Self-Interest would solve all our problems and the Invisible Hand would grasp us firmly but gently and guide us to a Happy Ending every time…
