Gotta say that the replies to it are rather…telling. The chiding and scolding about how rioting delegitimizes the protests and whatnot.

It’s kind of telling that MLK Jr., in life, never condoned but also never truly condemned riots. As he put it, “Riots are the language of the unheard”. And he found it more important to focus on ‘why are they rioting, and what needs to be fixed there’ rather than falling into the civility trap of the moderate in having to feel the need to condemn the riot just to gain enough respectability currency to have his message considered.
