I agree. Ultimately the hate-right will just spew hate at GWB since they don’t like him already, and the rest of the country has written him off.

In a sense I can concur with the disappointment - it would be good if former Presidents could all get together and speak unanimously on this issue, though I am not holding out any hope of that happening.

What we need are current leaders to speak out against the madness, but even President Obama’s rather cautious foray into this already has the right labeling him as some sort of demagogue.
