For those unfamiliar with DW-Nominate scores, they’re considered perhaps the best measure of a member of Congress’ ideology. Don’t worry about the vertical axis—it doesn’t mean much. But the horizontal axis (labeled “Liberal ↔ Conservative” here) is what matters. And on that score, Pelosi is well to the left of all her loudest critics.
