What it really says is the GOP has no fucking clue how they’re gonna salvage 2020 at this point. Unlike 2004 with Dubya, they can’t count on an improving economy to bouy his chances, nor can they sell him as a “war-time president” whose removal from office would disrupt the war effort. So they’re effectively betting on the DNC so badly stepping on their dick that they rip the fucker off.

Either that or they’ll start dropping bombs on Iran to make Trump a wartime President.
