I assume you saw the movie “Matewan”. I grew up in WV and therefore was immersed in the “unions are good” culture. (Even though my dad was a company man in the chemical factory) I’m also have mixed feelings on unions now because I know they were necessary and can see the destructive abuses of the current unions.

I grew up in and around Ripley, and spent most of my childhood down in the Kanawha Valley. I know what you mean about mixed feelings about the unions.

(Was your dad at Institute, by any chance?)
