Well, it’s about Logan in the sense that it’s also about their hatred of ‘liberals’, and anyone perceived to be one.

The rapists become symbolic of the Muslim other, but Logan becomes a symbol of the dumb liberal white girl who was too stupid to think that the Muslims would hurt her. This plays into another theme of theirs, that any Westerner who disagrees with them even a little is an idiot who thinks all sorts of ridiculous and naive things.

And then there’s the glee. They’re not even pretending to be sorry that her imagined idiocy got her hurt.

Well said. I noticed that the right seems to have difficulty dealing with hostage situations appropriately. I don’t know if you remember the Jill Carroll situation but a lot of Lizards at the time thought she was a traitor. The same situation occurred when Iran captured some British sailors and made them read statements, etc. The righties seemed to have little or no sympathy for the hostages. In many instances they actually loathed the victims. Very strange.
